SNF RUN RACES

The night race of Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), SNF RUN: Running to the Future, which has become an institution in sports, takes place on 23 June, during the celebration of the Olympic Day. Thousands of runners meet at the Panathenaic Stadium and cross the finishing line into the magnificent summer celebration, Summer Nostos Festival (SNFestival) at Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC)!

SNF Nostos Run races are carried out with the exclusive financial support of Stavros Niarchos Foundation, under the organizational supervision of the non-profit-making organization “Regeneration & Progress”, in cooperation with Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) and the Hellenic Olympic Committee (H.O.C.) and under the auspices of the Hellenic Police.

The races, which are free of charge and non-competitive, aim at rewarding participation and effort, and at reinforcing sports culture. The race is followed by a ceremony at which medals are awarded for the race and by a big party with fireworks, a concert and more, at Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

To date, SNF Nostos Run: Running to the Future has been organized 7 times (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019,2021, 2022), and SNF RUN: First Race of the Year 5 times (2017, 2018, 2019,2020,2023), having now become an institution among Greece’s sports events.
